SSG 13: Systems Engineering

SSG 13 illustrates how Systems Engineering complements the rest of the Asset Management life cycle and the six subject groups which make up the IAM conceptual model (6-box model).

Systems Engineering can be used to provide auditable line-of-sight from the corporate and organizational goals to the Asset Management decisions. It can also be used to structure and frame the requirements of the tangible and non-tangible assets to foster innovation, and effective delivery without over commitment.

This SSG has been structured to walk through the six Asset Management subject groups and explain how Systems Engineering Principles can add value.
