    As well as giving you the opportunity to share, learn and network; the feedback will be shared with the central committee in order to shape future Asset Management Guidance.  At the same time, the NW branch committee will be using the discussion to better understand what you want from your IAM community, in order to tailor future events in the North West.

    Mott Macdonald are delighted to be hosting this session of the IAM Eastern Branch.  

    The session will cover the topic of asset management challenges in the nuclear decommissoning sector. We are lucky to have two speakers from the organisation responsible for decommisioning the Magnox fleet of nuclear power stations, two of which are in the East of England. At the session you will learn about the unique challenges being faced at these sites and the solutions that have been adopted. If you are faced with managing ageing assets that are requiresd to do more and more, then this is an opportunity to learn how others are solving the problems.

    ISO TC Committee Members Peter Way from Australia and Ryen Tarbet from the US discuss the newly revised ISO TC 251 Technical Paper on “Improving Alignment between Technical and Financial Management within Organizations.” Peter is the former Director of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia, which publishes the well-recognized International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM).
